HISTORY
of
The Junior League of Arlington, Texas, Inc.
The Junior League of Arlington was admitted to the Association of Junior
Leagues on February 22, 1982, thus realizing a dream of the 44 founding members
of the Service League of Arlington. The Service League was organized on July 9,
1975, with a three fold purpose: to promote voluntarism, to develop the
potential of its members for voluntary participation in community affairs, and
to demonstrate the effectiveness of trained volunteers.
